The Post-Bulletin newspaper in Rochester, Minnesota profiled WaterFilters.NET in a recent article: Eco-friendly products have businesses seeing green.
The Zumbrota-based company WaterFilters.NET is drenched in success these days, filling online orders for water filters and softeners, reverse-osmosis systems and air filters.
Last year, the company ranked 309th on Inc. magazine’s annual list of fastest-growing private companies after reporting a 774-percent increase in sales growth from 2005 to 2008.
It’s proof that selling “green” products can be lucrative business.
“In a tough economy, we’re doing OK, fortunately,” said Jamin Arvig, President of the company he founded in 2002.
Whether selling or manufacturing green products, becoming more environmentally friendly or offering green services, companies of all sizes are finding ways to become part of the green economy.

The business markets many different brands and the types of products. including refrigerator filters, shower filters, water tests kits and more.
Water filters are selling well for several reasons, Arvig said. A filter removes contaminants from water. It’s economical for people trying to save money because they don’t have to buy bottled water. And that prevents plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills.
