Clean Drinking Water Is Not a Given

The New York Times recently ran an extensive article on the continuing pollution of the nation’s water. Writing about a family in Charleston, West Virginia, the author writes, “In fact, her entire family tries to avoid contact with the water. Her youngest son has scabs on his arms, legs and chest where the bathwater—polluted with lead, nickel and other heavy metals—caused painful rashes.”
The article goes on to mention numerous other examples across the country of polluted water—violations that seem out of place in 2009.
Yet that’s what makes this issue so compelling and startling. In a review of water pollution records completed by The Times, they found that “violations of the Clean Water Act have risen steadily across the nation.” These violations occur when factories, plants and various other workplaces do not abide by the standards set forth by the Act.
As a consumer, however, it’s oftentimes difficult to know if your water is being polluted by chemical runoff or some other type of pollution violation.
WaterFilters.NET provides an affordable solution to this serious problem by offering reverse osmosis systems, which can remove heavy metals and other contaminants that can appear in drinking water.
Jeremy Nelson, marketing manager for WaterFilters.NET, said, “Reverse osmosis systems provide consumers with one of the most effective and affordable solutions to water pollutants. By installing this in your home or business, you can rest assured that dangerous chemicals will not get into your drinking water.”
The PuroTwist 4000 Reverse Osmosis System is just one example of a solution that WaterFilters.NET can provide to the issue of clean water.
